Canadian pianist JENNY MA is an emerging artist currently located in the Bay Area, recognized for her passion and versatility. As an avid chamber musician and collaborator, she works with a wide array of vocalists and instrumentalists in multiple settings and explores diverse repertoire, both traditional and new. Her rich experiences have led her to perform in venues throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. She has worked with renowned artists such as Garrick Ohlsson, Leslie Howard, Eugene Indjic, Ilana Vered, Jane Coop, and André Laplante. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance and psychology from the University of British Columbia under the tutelage of Dr. Corey Hamm. During her undergraduate studies, she had also worked closely with pianist Mark Anderson and Rena Sharon. Ms. Ma also holds a Master of Music degree and Professional Studies Diploma in piano performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with her dear mentor, Paul Hersh. She currently maintains a teaching studio in San Francisco. In addition to teaching, she is a staff music associate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in both the collegiate and pre-college divisions.
